About me

I love having long conversations and really getting to know someone, and I want the conversation to go deeper and deeper for the rest of our lives. I am a community builder, I spend a lot of time bringing people together to create good things in our community, I mentor young leaders to do the same, and I write about how to do these things and how spirituality helps us become better people who create goodness in community, rather than badness. So I'm looking for a life partner to walk beside me in this work - to open our home with hospitality to others, to spend a lot of time with people and also going to lots of fund-raising parties, as well as social fun parties. I lived in New York City for over a decade before I moved here to DC, and there I was deeply involved in the arts community. I spent a lot of time going to my friends shows, and art openings - that is a big part of my life...so you will never be bored:) Also, I'm helping to start a farm north of the city that will experiment with new ways to grow food and will feed poor people in the city - so we'll spend some time out there in the countryside too - A nice country/city lifestyle:) I love women that are self confident and have a certain sparkle in their eye. I am always laughing and joking, so if she laughs at my jokes (like my mother does) that will be enough to make me start shopping for a ring...if she also makes me laugh in return, then it is straight to the wedding altar!
