I first came to the Philippines in the early 1970's While serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway, We spent two years in the Vietnam War, serving along side many of our Filipino friends. We pulled into Subic Bay Naval Air Station for repairs and relaxation, It was then and there that I grew to love and admire the people. the culture, the natural world, and, yes the most wonderful women in the world, the beautiful Filipinas. Never in my life have I felt so loved and cared for, We rebuilt an orphanage in New Cabalon, took care of 68 orphans and gave them the love they could not find for themselves, fished and stayed with wonderful families, and fell in love with both the country and the women. Is it any wonder I dream of returning to paradise? Growing up in a small Midwestern farm town of 250 people instilled in me the foundations of hard work and an appreciation of Nature, which continues to influence me to this day. I love exploring the Natural World and using my photography to protect it. I first came to San Francisco in the early 70's as a volunteer in the US Navy. I crossed the Pacific Ocean 5 times aboard the USS Midway and fell in love with the South Pacific and beautiful South East Asia. I love to travel, explore, photograph, and share the experience, creating the true riches of life. After working in mainstream journalism, I am enjoying a much more simple lifestyle living on my sailboat on San Francisco Bay, photographing nature...
