About me

I am well educated, MBA, a good conversationalist as well as good listener, I think, witty and admittedly on the dry side of humorous. Originally from Canada, of French and Icelandic heritage. Growing up in Canada gave me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity which I very much enjoy to this day. I truly believe that if people took the time to explore other cultures the world would be a much better place for all. Personality wise, I’m certainly the quieter type, and much more one for a quaint dinner than noisy night club – in fact, I can’t remember the last time I was in one. Affectionate and passionate to the core, I’m an incurable romantic through and through. Chivalry is not dead in my world nor are simple displays of affection, like holding hands, cuddling, giving my love a foot rub after a hard day, or a any day, actually, getting up a little earlier to make coffee or serve breakfast in bed on Sunday morning, opening doors, all the little things that mean so much but yet are too often forgotten or taken for granted. I enjoy most genres of music, history, travel, culture, the outdoors and especially cooking — I have classical training and love nothing more than preparing a romantic dinner for two! Intellectual stimulation is a huge must in my life/relationships, as is a healthy lifestyle, positive attitude, mutual respect, kindness towards animals and quite simply just being a good person.
