About me

I am a widower. Plan was to grow old with my wife. We did grow old but her health deteriorated and she she unexpectedly died. I miss her terribly. I suppose I am just lonely. I have 2 cats. My wife loved cats and I will keep them till they die. My wife will always be in my heart. That is something I hope you will understand. 14 years of being together does that to you . In her last days, my wife's condition got to point where she couldn't walk anymore and her mental faculties subsided. I became her caretaker. I had to feed her, clean her and attend to her many needs. I didn't mind doing those. If I ended up taking care of her throughout my lifetime,I would have done it! I suppose I didn't realize how much I loved her until she died. And now...life goes on but I still grieve for her. Right now, I just seek friendship first. With friendship as a strong foundation comes a healthy dose of mutual respect. At some point, perhaps romance will develop over time. When I was younger, I always believed instant infatuation was love and because you feel the way you do, everything will work out. Reality check time is over. Things work out because both partners work hard at working it out! Rest assured, it's not always hard. Otherwise, I wouldn't be grateful for what I had.

Looking for

Someone with the same good qualities as my wife yet doesn't have her imperfections. No one is perfect. There are imperfections I know I can live with and still love her with all my heart. I just have to know the woman well enough.
