About me

I'm an outdoorsy nerdy guy from Germany. I spend too much time on the computer, partly because my job requires it and partly because it's my generation's main social activity point and most of my friends are nerdy gamers, YouTubers and the like. When not glued to the screen, I enjoy going out on social occasions, checking out new restaurants or venues and chatting with people who have had different life experiences from mine. I'm equally at home watching a movie or documentary on the couch, as I am exploring the great outdoors and pursuing more mobile activities like hiking, sailing, playing badminton or football. Admittedly, I usually watch "boring" educational documentaries but am also often found binge-watching the latest NetFlix series with a drink and some snacks. On the nature side, I am somewhat more used to the cold northern European climate nowadays but am very much looking forward to the change to a sunnier climate. I mainly grew up in several former British colonies, so I speak the language rather fluently and am somewhat used to non-European cultures, though the last time I left Europe was about six years ago. I am certainly very much looking forward to getting to know South East Asia and the Philippines a lot better. :D

Looking for

Friends and pen pals from around the Cebu area. My company is seeking to create an IT-BPO division in Cebu city, and I’m being sent there in September to help organize the new division. So I thought I'd do a little research beforehand and maybe get to know a few people before I actually end up all alone in a strange new city... ;)
